NATH Consulting Services recognizes the following "Key Practices as the first step towards achieving Total Quality Management : 　

-          Commitment to perform: This describes the actions that are to be taken to ensure that the software development process is established and will endure.

-          Ability to Perform: This describes the preconditions that must exist in the Organization to implement the software development process competently. It typically involves Organizational Resources, Structure and Training.

-          Activities Performed: This describes the roles and procedures necessary to implement a key process area. It typically involves establishing plans and procedures, performing the work, tracking it, and taking corrective actions as necessary.

Quality Management Assurance System (QMAS)

NATH Consulting Services began its ISO initiative for process mapping from day one and follow ISO9000* compliant process. As part of the ISO initiative we laid out institutionalization of Quality Management Assurance System (QMAS), formal project management, review and control procedures, formal methods for software engineering practices and formal process change mechanism.

Software Quality & Management

The engineering of software projects at NATH Consulting Services is based on the concept of a software life cycle (SDLC).  The software life cycle encompasses all activities required to define, develop, test, implement and maintain software products. Our process capabilities focus on defect analysis, cause identification and defect prevention plus technologies incorporation - tools, methods and processes - so as to facilitate continuous improvement in software quality and productivity. As part of the CMMI* initiatives NATH Consulting Services is looking forward to get CMMI Level 3 certified.

The software life cycle breaks the software project into a series of successive activities.  Each phase requires well-defined input information, utilizes well-defined processes and results in well-defined products.  The methodology emphasizes milestones, documents and reviews throughout the product development cycle.  It is often difficult, if not impossible, for the Product Manager and team members to assess progress, to determine resources expanded to predict schedule delays, or to anticipate problem areas.  Establishing milestones, review points, standard documents, and management of sign-off result in improved product quality, increased programmer productivity, and better morale among the project team members.  Each project goes through the following phases:

-          Analysis Phase,

-          Design Phase,

-          Implementation Phase,

-          System Testing,

-          Maintenance Phase.

QWeb is a web-based, quality management system that allows instantaneous access and facilitates sharing of knowledge and best practices among all projects within the organization.
