To My Readers: Thank You

As the end of the year draws near, I want to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to read my blog posts, share my articles, and engage with me through phone calls or WhatsApp. Becoming a blogger was never part of my career plan or on my bingo card. Creating a blog came about through my frustration and anger over the COVID-19 vaccine misinformation spreading through WhatsApp and Facebook.
As a public health professional, blogging was my way of stepping in to dispel vaccine misinformation and share accurate, fact-based health information. We all know that social media has been both a blessing and a curse. These days, people get their health information from social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Twitter.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of false and misleading health information online and one needs to learn to pause and verify the information to ensure it is accurate before sharing. People appear unaware of the dangers and consequences of false health information on their lives. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, for example, public health guidelines have been met with resistance.
I am not sure how things got so bad that people are agitated by following simple guidelines to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities. Making informed decisions about our health and well-being is vital, especially now. In 2023, God willing, I will remain committed to empowering you all with accurate health information and connecting you to the available resources you need to access health services.
Stay warm, stay safe, and cheers to good health!
Happy New Year in advance, everyone!
